Last month, Matt and I got the chance to spend a couple of days at Farmer Rick's cabin up in The Forks, Maine. Those days were the most peaceful I've had in a long time - away from cell service, electricity, or responsibility of any kind beyond making fires and turning on/off the gas lights. On one of the days we didn't see a single other soul.
The majority of these photos are from our hike up Bald Mountain, which is part of the Appalachian Trail. On our way up, we ran into two southbound thru-hikers who are doing the ATC with their dog. They've been on the trail since May, but are taking it slowly and plan to complete it over the course of a year. "We have all the time in the world," they said.
