Click, drool, repeat

I was sick last week and have thankfully recently recovered. However, as a result of post-sickness fatigue and finals stress, I've still been having trouble keeping food down. But I'm not pregnant, I promise! The lovely Brown Health Services told me I ought to follow a gastrointestinal diet for a while: loads of bland, textureless food which I can, thankfully, keep down. I have been making a gradual transition to more normal foods but it's still mostly soup in bread bowls, rice krispies cereal, and bananas for me. As a result of this lack of palatable excitement, I have been spending an inordinate amount of time on foodporndaily.com. This has, in turn, lead to a relapse of the craving for home-cooked food that comes with too much time spent in college dining halls.
Tempura fried salmon and asparagus wrapped in nori with citrus grain mustard, ikura and wasabi aioli
Wor wonton soup, char sui glazed duck breast, shrimp, snap peas, baby bok choy, shallot and scallion
Beef brisket pho with rich beef broth, rice noodles, fresh mint, cilantro and bean sprouts

I would do so much for real sushi or a big bowl of Chinese-style noodles with seafood or chunks of beef right now. If you think I'm exaggerating, think again. At the end of September my McDonald's craving was so unbearable that I walked three miles into the sketchy part of Providence just to order McNuggets. I am a hardcore fatass and the fact that I am unable to be one right now is so difficult to deal with.
